The idea is: collaborate on writing fiction, non-fiction, or anything you want.

When I was lurking on one of the discussion boards we had a discussion thread entitled "Creating a story". The principle was that everyone can add to the end of a text but they could only use three words once.

Juliette: My hand, sore Michael: from a game Rosanne: of cricket, suddenly Megamonster123: fucking fell off.

I think the basic prototype could manipulate a single story that gets written for several days and then freezes.

This idea is still in embryo in my brain.

Hey that could be cool/funny. It reminds me of the cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exquisite_corpse

You could also have branches for a story (ie. from one point two (or more) replies follow), which could make for fun visualization, edit: esp. if you somehow drawings/images can be added in the mix.

I had this idea also. I like it... Mine was to only add one word at a time.

fsavard: Yep, I thought of a story as being a tree with nodes that can be rated by users. The top rated sequence of nodes will form an official story line, with people being able to see all the tree.

psytek: Perhaps moderator/author of a story will be able to select the number.
